| Boots Botanics Organic Nourishing Body Oil |
A good place to start would be with Boots Botanics Organic nourishing body oil which is made from 100 percent certified organic ingredients and is designed to hydrate, soothe and nourish your skin.
Botanics is another brand exclusive to Boots with body and haircare products suitable for men and women. While not all organic, Botanics products combine active plant extracts which vary depending on the product purchased.
Body cream moisturizers dominate the skincare shelves and it's not always easy finding a moisturizing oil. However, it's well worth seeking them out as body oils are far more versatile. Apart from using Botanics Organic nourishing body oil as an all over body moisturizer it makes a fabulous cuticle oil and can be used to help combat stretch marks during pregnancy.
The oil is a deep yellow color though this can vary since it's derived from natural extracts and it's packaged in a small, 3.3 fluid ounce clear bottle with a silver screw cap lid. The ingredients include a blend of rose, geranium and bergamot oils as well as jojoba oil which contains a unique liquid wax which closely resembles the skins own oil.
While the packaging is certainly eco friendly, it's not perhaps the most user friendly. Once you've got your hands covered in oil, the bottle becomes extremely slippery. Therefore, because the bottle is glass, you need to be extra careful when handling it, especially if you're using it in a bathroom with a tiled floor. It's also quite tricky pouring it out since the bottle opening isn't particularly narrow and the oil will pour out quickly if you tip it up too much.
When applying the oil, it's best to use it after a shower or bath while your skin is still slightly damp. The oil is delightfully fragrant and if you've ever had a massage, you'll instantly recognize the aroma. You only need to apply a small amount in the palm of your hand as a little goes a long way. Rubbing this oil over your skin feels like a real treat, and the smell is wonderfully relaxing and calming. Perfect for use before going to bed.
After applying, you are recommended to wait a few minutes to allow it to sink in before dressing. However, even after waiting time, it does tend to stain your clothes. As such, it's probably best to use it at night before going to bed or else wear another thin layer of clothing underneath. But there's no need to worry about your clothes becoming permanently stained as it washes out completely.
The oil sinks into your skin leaving it beautifully soft and supple without any greasiness. And the fragrance is still noticeable, even the following day, which is something rarely found in regular moisturizers.
A small bottle will last ages as you only need such a tiny amount and with a price of around $11.99 in the US or £4.99 in the UK, why not give your body a treat by rubbing some of this beautiful oil into your skin. Or better still, get someone else to do it.

About Me!
Hi and thanks for visiting my blog!
My name's Caroline and I live in London. I'm a freelance writer and nutritionist, so you'll find a lot of my articles are health based.
I'm also passionately interested in skincare. Although the food we eat has the most noticeable effects on our skin, the skincare products we use has a large part to play.
As such, I often write product reviews and other articles on dealing with skincare and anti-aging.
I hope you enjoyed your visit here and come back soon :-)
