Inserting a sheet in Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Excel is such a powerful software program, capable of performing incredibly complex calculations. But sometimes it's the little things that can befuddle us and seem impossible to achieve, such as adding or deleting a sheet, for instance.

Fortunately, it's quite simple and you have a few different options available for doing this.

Step 1:
Adding a new worksheet at the end:

Decide where you want to insert your new worksheet. For instance, is you simply want to add another sheet after all your current worksheets, the easiest method is to click on the ‘Insert Worksheet’ tab next to your last worksheet tab at the bottom of the page. Your new worksheet will be created and given the default name of ‘sheet no.’

Step 2:
Adding a worksheet in another position:

In order to insert a new sheet in front of an existing sheet, click on the sheet tab which should appear after your new sheet.

Step 3:
Look for the ‘cell’ group:

From the ‘home’ tab, look along the top for the ‘cell’ group and click on ‘insert’. Choose the bottom option ‘insert sheet’. This will insert a new worksheet in front of the current worksheet. The shortcut method is (shift + F11) which will produce the same result.

Alternatively, right click your mouse or press (shift F10) and choose ‘insert’. Click on ‘insert’ and the default highlighted option is worksheet. Either double click on ‘worksheet’ or press OK.

Step 4:
Inserting multiple sheets:

If you need to insert more than one sheet at a time, simply hold down the shift key while pressing the number of sheet tabs as you wish to insert. Then, either right click and choose ‘insert’ or use the method from ‘step 3’. If you click on four tabs, four new sheets will be inserted in front of the current sheet.

Step 5:
Deleting a worksheet:

The methods for deleting a worksheet are similar for the insertion technique. Click on the sheet you want to delete, browse to the ‘cell’ group on the ‘home’ tab and choose ‘delete’. Click on the ‘delete sheet’ option. If you have data on the sheet, a warning will pop up asking whether you are sure you want to delete the sheet.

Step 6:
Alternative deletion methods:

Alternatively, you can right click or press (shift + F10) and choose the ‘delete’ option from the pop up menu.

I'm also passionately interested in skincare. Although the food we eat has the most noticeable effects on our skin, the skincare products we use has a large part to play.

As such, I often write product reviews and other articles on dealing with skincare and anti-aging.
