Dove Body Moisturiser |
If this is the case and you're on the lookout for something different from your regular brand, you might want to take a look at this product from Dove, called 'Rich Nourishing Beauty Body Moisturiser'.
Dove Skin Care
Dove is a prominent name in the skin care market and their products are always easy to spot on store shelves. They are popular for good reason; their products work. Dove first made their name in the 1950s in the US when they launched their unique Dove Beauty Bar containing a quarter moisturizing cream. To keep up with rapidly expanding skin care market, they've now diversified their range to include body moisturisers, deodorants, shampoos, conditioners and body washes to name a few.
Beauty Body Moisturiser
The Dove Beauty Body Moisturiser is an all over rich and nourishing body cream that can be used every day to keep skin soft and supple. It comes in two sizes; 250ml and 400ml and is available for ‘dry’ skin or ‘normal to dry’ skin.
This is one of Dove’s basic body moisturisers, for example, not one of their Pro Age range. As such, it's packed in a simple white bottle with the traditional ‘Dove colours of white and blue. It comes with a flip top lid which is always useful because you can stand it on its lid and the moisturiser is always ready to come out. And when you do flip open the lid, the cream won't come pouring out until you gently squeeze the bottle.
The cream itself is pure white and about the consistency of thick yogurt. It feels very rich when you’re rubbing into the skin but surprisingly, a small amount does go a long way. I generally use my moisturisers after a shower as this is a great way to allow it to really sink into the skin. Because this cream is quite thick, you do have to rub it in thoroughly until it has disappeared into the skin. But once it has, the results are fabulous.
Immediately my skin takes on a noticeably smooth and supple appearance, pretty much as described on the bottle. If I run my hands over my newly moisturised skin it feels a little sticky, but at least it doesn't seem like it's going to come off any time soon.
It leaves a very subtle, but pleasant and fresh smelling fragrance. It probably won't be noticed by others as you're walking by, but you are aware of it on yourself. It says it lasts for 24 hours and I wouldn't argue with that. By morning I can't feel the stickiness any more and my skin still looks well moisturised.
Recommendation
This Dove Beauty Body Moisturiser is a fantastic bargain. Not only is it already very cheap to buy when selling at its usual price, around £2.80 for the 250ml size, it is often on sale at half price. And when you buy the 400ml bottle, it's even more economically worthwhile.
If you’re looking for a rich all over body moisturiser that’s easy to apply and lasts well, you really can’t go wrong with this product. Because it’s priced so low you don’t feel you need to skimp on applying it to your body. Having used many of the Dove moisturising lotions and creams, I am more than happy to stick with this one rather than opt for a more high-end product even within the Dove range. Basically, it does the job and smells fabulous.

About Me!
Hi and thanks for visiting my blog!
My name's Caroline and I live in London. I'm a freelance writer and nutritionist, so you'll find a lot of my articles are health based.
I'm also passionately interested in skincare. Although the food we eat has the most noticeable effects on our skin, the skincare products we use has a large part to play.
As such, I often write product reviews and other articles on dealing with skincare and anti-aging.
I hope you enjoyed your visit here and come back soon :-)
