The fishing spider or Dolomedes, belongs to the family of Pisauridae. They can be found almost anywhere in the world, from North America and Europe through to New Zealand, with over 100 species altogether. They are a large species of spider which also includes the raft spider, dock spider, wharf spider and the nursery web spider.

Spiders strike fear into many people but most of these eight legged creepy crawlies don't pose a threat to us. While nearly all spiders are poisonous, only a few have venom with the potential to cause harm to humans. Venomous spiders are found around the world and some countries seem to have more than their fare share of them. Although spider bites can kill, such incidents are very rare. The following six spiders are considered to be some of the most venomous spiders in the world.

Here are two of them!

About Me!

Hi and thanks for visiting my blog!

My name's Caroline and I live in London. I'm a freelance writer and nutritionist, so you'll find a lot of my articles are health based.

I'm also passionately interested in skincare. Although the food we eat has the most noticeable effects on our skin, the skincare products we use has a large part to play.

As such, I often write product reviews and other articles on dealing with skincare and anti-aging.

I hope you enjoyed your visit here and come back soon :-)
