Children spend a lot of time on their feet. Whether they're running, jumping or kicking a football, their feet need to be well protected and supported against the wear and tear of everyday life.
As such, choosing the right fitting shoes for your child is important for ensuring their feet are able to grow and develop properly while reducing the chances of suffering from foot problems later in life.

Large beefsteak tomatoes were made to be stuffed. Their size and firm exterior makes them the perfect receptacle for piling in tasty fillings and turning them into a meal in themselves. Not only that, tomatoes, especially when cooked, provide us with a rich source of lycopene, a powerful antioxidant which may be instrumental in lowering blood pressure and cholesterol.
Here are a couple of stuffed tomato recipes, one of which can be served cold as a snack with the other ideally eaten as a light starter or meal.

Fritters are a firm favorite in cuisines around the world. Eaten sweet or savory, these delicious fried cakes can be enjoyed as a dessert, starter or main meal. And fritters provide the perfect excuse for turning left over vegetables into a meal which the whole family can enjoy.
While zucchinis may not be the obvious contender as a fritter ingredient, they make a surprisingly appetizing addition to the basic fritter recipe.

Ever since man learned how to grind wheat grains into flour, mix it with water and bake it over hot stones, bread has been a staple source of food. As centuries passed, virtually every country developed their own unique style breads, with Italy alone having more than 350 varieties.
However, when it comes down to it, all bread can be grouped into one of three types; yeast bread, quick bread or flatbreads. Here are just a few of the different types of bread found around the world.

I must admit, a few years ago I wasn't too concerned about food waste. So what, if I threw away some left over peas or a half used jar of pasta sauce.
Although not entirely happy with disposing half jars of good food, I was recycling the jar, thereby doing my bit for the good of the planet.
However, with the credit crunch hitting everyone hard, particularly families with children, it's time we all started examining our own food waste habits and working out how we can make improvements.

Considering he married six women, King Henry VIII produced surprisingly few offspring. Of course, back in the 16th century, it was his poor wives who were relentlessly blamed for their inability to carry a child to term.
Thankfully, we now know better. And if recent research is to be believed, liability for the lack of Tudor heirs can be firmly planted at Henry's door.

For the majority of people in the UK, Bank holidays are an eagerly anticipated day off from work. They get to enjoy a long weekend followed by a shorter working week and it's often used as a chance to take a short break away from home or for catching up on a bit of DIY around the house.

An overflowing fruit bowl brightens up a room in much the same way as a vase of flowers. While the roses and carnations just look pretty, fresh fruit is sweet and healthy and makes the ideal snack.
While fresh fruit is delicious when eaten on its own, it can become a little mundane. Fortunately, fresh fruit is extremely versatile and can be cooked and prepared in a multitude of ways. The following recipes using fresh fruit are perfect for the warmer summer months.

Over a quarter of children in the United States have had at least one cavity by the age of four. To help prevent problems such as decay and cavities, it’s vital that children are taken for regular checkups to the dentist so they can learn from a young age the importance of caring for their teeth.
Preparing a child for their first visit to the dentist should be both an encouraging and positive experience.

About Me!
Hi and thanks for visiting my blog!
My name's Caroline and I live in London. I'm a freelance writer and nutritionist, so you'll find a lot of my articles are health based.
I'm also passionately interested in skincare. Although the food we eat has the most noticeable effects on our skin, the skincare products we use has a large part to play.
As such, I often write product reviews and other articles on dealing with skincare and anti-aging.
I hope you enjoyed your visit here and come back soon :-)
